Today we are speaking to Tannelle Lamont-Jacobs, who works as an Apprentice Bid Administrator in Auctus Management Group‘s Bids Department.
We’re catching up with our apprentices across the Group as part of National Apprenticeship Week to learn more about them, their progress, and their future goals.
Hello Tannelle Lamont-Jacobs, what were you doing before you started working at Auctus Management Group?
I had just graduated from university and worked as a waitress. However, due to COVID, I was placed on furlough. It was during the first lockdown that I joined Auctus Management Group.
Have you ever worked in the rail/civils sectors before working at Auctus Management Group?
No – and I wouldn’t have thought to before joining Auctus Management Group!
What is your job role and responsibilities at Auctus Management Group?
My role at Auctus Management Group is an Apprentice Bid Administrator. Collating tender documents, scheduling meetings with members of staff to create a bid timeline, writing bids with the help of Heads of Department, updating certificates and qualifications to keep the company compliant, uploading bids, and regularly checking portals for any future opportunities are some of my main responsibilities. It’s a demanding but fascinating job with a lot of responsibilities, and I enjoy collaborating with all of the department heads to gather all the necessary material for each bid or tender we submit.
What are your future plans, and how will working at Auctus Management Group help you achieve them?
I aim to complete my Level 3 Bid and Proposal Co-ordinator qualification and learn a lot about the rail sector in particular. Auctus Management Group has many divisions which will allow me to learn in a detailed and thorough way.
Thanks to Tannelle for taking some time to tell us about her apprenticeship journey so far.
