Auctus Management Group Limited are proud to announce that they have been awarded Talent Match’s ‘Employer of the Year’ at their Celebration Event. The event celebrated the achievements of participants and the success of the Birmingham and Solihull Talent Match Programme.
Talent Match is a 5-year investment programme that has been setup to aid long-term unemployed young adults (18-24) across Birmingham & Solihull. The programme is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the local partnership is led by BVSC with Solihull SUSTAiN.
‘Employer of the Year’ was awarded to the Group after their continued success in helping to assist Talent Match Birmingham and Solihull in meeting their long-term objective to support 1000 young adults and ensure that at least 50% secure paid work experience for at least 6 months. Furthermore, the programme has made additional commitments to ensure 70% of participants gain improvements in skills, confidence, and self-perception because of involvement in paid work experience & complementary volunteering placements with local charities.
As an NSAR accredited rail training provider, ATS have created a bespoke course specifically tailored for young people who have been unemployed for 12 months or longer. The course provides learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to gain their Personal Track Safety with Track Induction competency as well as Small Tools, Fire Awareness and Asbestos Removal and Industry Common Induction certificates. These key competencies offer the learners an excellent foundation on which to build their career and ultimately position them as ideal candidates for perspective employers and enable them to become the next generation of industry leaders.
During the awards ceremony, ATS’s Administrator, Matthew Thompson, was presented with the prestigious accolade of ‘Employee of the Year.’ Matthew received this award after his tireless effort in helping to ensure that all operatives that work on-site have met the strict rules and regulations that govern the rail sector and ensure that the Group maintains its commitment to Network Rail’s mandate of ‘Everyone Home Safe Everyday’.

The Track Operatives are receiving excellent feedback from clients and are quickly becoming known within the industry for their commitment to adhering to safe working practices as well as their positive attitude towards ensuring that the project is completed accurately and on time.
With extensive rail investment projects on the horizon, such as HS2 and Midland Metro expansion, and an industry facing significant skills-gaps and aging workforce, it is initiatives like the Talent Match programme that will ultimately help to reduce the number of unemployed people within the UK and provide the sector with the substantial boost that it so urgently needs.
