Supporting Mental Health at Work: Mental Health Awareness Week 2025

Since 2001, the Mental Health Foundation has led the UK’s annual Mental Health Awareness Week, a vital campaign aimed at encouraging conversations and action around mental wellbeing. This year, the awareness week takes place from 12 to 18 May 2025, and the theme is one that resonates deeply in our professional lives—‘Community’.

At Auctus Management Group and RSS Infrastructure, we believe that a strong community is the cornerstone of a healthy and productive workplace. As we recognise Mental Health Awareness Week, we invite all employees to engage in activities that foster connection, motivation, and mutual support across our teams.

Why Community Matters

Community is more than just a collection of colleagues—it’s about creating a space where individuals feel valued, connected, and empowered. A sense of belonging has a proven positive impact on mental wellbeing, boosting morale, reducing stress, and increasing engagement at work. This week offers an opportunity to deepen those bonds and embed supportive practices into our everyday culture.

Mental Health Week Activities: Join the Movement

To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, we encourage all teams across Auctus Management Group and RSS Infrastructure to take part in a series of themed activities designed to strengthen our internal community:

Connect

To help foster connection, we invite colleagues to share more of themselves, whether discussing weekend plans, hobbies, or personal experiences. These simple conversations can build trust and deepen understanding across teams.

Motivate

To stay motivated, consider setting personal or collective goals, participating in light-hearted competitions, or engaging in team-based challenges such as a lunchtime quiz or an office scavenger hunt.

Bond

To build bonds, take a moment to celebrate one another’s strengths, acknowledge achievements, and get to know individuals from other departments. Sharing favourite recipes, celebrating small wins, or offering genuine compliments can go a long way in boosting team morale.

Discover

To discover new ideas and experiences, why not try something out of the ordinary as a team? You could participate in a digital detox challenge, explore mindfulness exercises, or host a creative workshop where colleagues can draw, write, or share music.

Be Active

To support both physical and mental well-being, incorporate movement into your routine. Organise a nature walk during lunch, suggest holding meetings outdoors, or encourage colleagues to join a step-count challenge to keep each other active and energised.

Let’s Build a Stronger Community Together

Mental Health Awareness Week is not just a moment in the calendar—it’s a reminder of the importance of creating a workplace culture where mental health is openly discussed and actively supported.

Let’s come together this May to strengthen the bonds that unite us, inspire one another, and take meaningful steps towards a mentally healthier workplace.

If you are struggling or know someone who may need support, please contact your line manager or mental health first aider or access the mental health resources available through our HR team.
