Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 2023 - Awards Ceremony

Greater Birmingham Chambers Of Commerce Awards 2023

Last night, the ICC in Birmingham hosted the prestigious Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Awards ceremony. The event was attended by around 1,100 guests, including representatives from some of the region’s most successful businesses. Broadcaster Ed James hosted the ceremony. Several sponsors supported it, including Birmingham City University, Elonex, Schumacher Packaging, and Birmingham City Council as headline partners.

The event showcased various businesses across several categories, with the winners demonstrating excellence in their respective fields. Auctus Management Group was one of the shortlisted businesses in the Training and Education category for their Induction Training provided to Balfour Beatty VINCI on the HS2 project. Let’s take a closer look at our induction training programme.

Auctus Management Group Nominated for Training and Education

Auctus Management Group’s Induction Training programme for Balfour Beatty VINCI on the HS2 project was shortlisted for the Training and Education category at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Awards 2023.

As part of the induction process, every BBV employee or subcontractor must undergo a comprehensive induction, including drug and alcohol testing, and have their biometric data captured for BBV’s site access software. This ensures that all workers on the HS2 project are fully qualified, competent, and safe to work on-site.

The Induction team was represented by Team Leader Leanda Waring and Induction Presenter Liam Dudley, who were joined by RSS Infrastructure’s Client Services Director, Monica Barbosa. While the team did not win the award, they were pleased to be recognised for their exceptional training programme, which sets a high standard for health and safety training in the construction industry.

BMet College’s Success in the Training and Education Category

The Training and Education category was strong, with many outstanding entries. The award ultimately went to BMet College in Sutton Coldfield, recognised for its commitment to providing high-quality education and training to students across the region.

BMet College offers a range of courses, from vocational training to academic programs, and provides students with access to state-of-the-art facilities and experienced educators. Their commitment to excellence in education and training makes them a deserving winner in the Training and Education category.
